ITW Electronic Business Asia Warranty Policies
- Warranty Period & Coverage: ITW Electronic Business Asia warrants that all products shall be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment. Products are also warranted to conform to mutually agreed upon written specifications or descriptions, and are conveyed free and clear of all liens and encumbrances.
- How to Make a Claim: To submit a warranty claim, you must provide written notice of the defect to ITW within the one-year warranty period, allow ITW a reasonable opportunity to investigate the claim, obtain a written Return Material Authorization (RMA) from ITW before returning any goods, and return the product to ITW freight prepaid only after receiving such approval.
- Remedy Options: At ITW's sole discretion, ITW will repair the product, replace the product, or refund the original purchase price. This represents the buyer's sole and exclusive remedy for any warranty claim.
- What's Not Covered: This warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from: misuse, abuse, or neglect; unauthorized alterations, services, or repairs performed by third parties; failure to follow ITW's maintenance instructions or environmental specifications; normal wear and tear, improper installation, or improper testing; use of consumable components or ordinary wear items; or use with equipment, components, or parts not specified or supplied by ITW.
- Fitness & Suitability: ITW makes no guarantee that any product is fit for a specific purpose or application. It is the buyer's sole responsibility to determine the suitability of the product for their intended use. All physical properties, statements, and recommendations are based on tests or experience believed to be reliable, but they are not guaranteed. Except as set forth in the full Terms and Conditions of Sale, ITW makes no warranty or representation of any kind, express or implied, including no warranty of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose.
- Limitation of Liability: In no event shall ITW be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages — including loss of profits, downtime, or commercial losses — whether or not based upon ITW's negligence, breach of warranty, strict liability, or any other cause of action. ITW's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price of the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
